The primary focus of the foundation is to keep the Chief’s memory alive by supporting cadets in the police academy through a scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a cadet who has successfully completed the Montgomery County Community College Municipal Police Academy and is personally financing their tuition without reimbursement from a police department or other reimbursing entity.

Candidates must demonstrate traits indicative of the qualities necessary for successful policing including dedication, hard work, compassion and empathy towards others.
